Who, in your opinion, makes the best 2000 gram hunting boot. I am looking to buy a pair soon and would like your opinion.

Ed,
I have a pair of Lacrosse boots I that I've had for 5-6 years and they were fine. They did each develop holes in the front of them in a wrinkle.
I'm also looking at purchasing TWO new pair. I want to get a pair of 2500 thinsulate or higher as well as a pair of un-insulated for early season hunting. I have 800's now and they keep my feet really warm in the coldest conditions, but my feet obviously sweat a ton in the early season. I will more than likely purchase the cabelas brand or browning. To me rubber boots are rubber boots and I don't see the more expensive one's being much better than the cheaper ones.

I've got a pair of Lacrosse ATS 800 gram boots. I've worn them in the negatives before and was good to go. I wore two pairs of wool socks and that did the job.
i wear uninsulated burlys with thick wool socks and a thin liner sock of a super material like nylon...yuh know it was below zero one morn. durin muzz season an i fell thru the ice on a beaver pond...it was dark thirty in the morn... and i was headed bout 1/2 mile back in...my boot got a good bit of water in it...i got across the beaver pond and continued on...i was goin huntin...i went out set up,stayed all day an come back to muh truck at dark thirty that night...my coveralls were froze to the knee on one side...snot was froze to muh face...and i seen not one deer...but muh feet were warm...:mischeif:
