i wear uninsulated burlys with thick wool socks and a thin liner sock of a super material like nylon...yuh know it was below zero one morn. durin muzz season an i fell thru the ice on a beaver pond...it was dark thirty in the morn... and i was headed bout 1/2 mile back in...my boot got a good bit of water in it...i got across the beaver pond and continued on...i was goin huntin...i went out set up,stayed all day an come back to muh truck at dark thirty that night...my coveralls were froze to the knee on one side...snot was froze to muh face...and i seen not one deer...but muh feet were warm...:mischeif:Thunderflight said:Yelp
I've got a pair of Lacrosse ATS 800 gram boots. I've worn them in the negatives before and was good to go. I wore two pairs of wool socks and that did the job.
