I was curious as to what techniques you guys use to hunt deer in Southeastern Ohio (i.e. hilly, steep terrain)? I am only used to hunting "flat land" and was curious about the major differences.
Is it better to hunt on top of the ridges or in the valleys? Do the deer typcially travel straight up and down ridges or diagonally? What are saddles and benches? Where are the funnels typically located? I heard the wind can be tricky down in the valleys, especially in the evening, it that a true statement?
Please ignore my ignorance and number of questions, but I have no experience with hilly terrain and I thought I would ask for some of your knowledge.
Thanks again for your time.
Rob
