Great Idea, but you can buy those springs at any suppy house and bent up the ends and is a whole lot cheaper.

Line Keepers

I got some & they are really nice !
The big plus for my catfishing is when I break off on a snag. it's usually right when I'm getting ready to change spots when pulling in the lines. With the Line Keepers, my line doesn't get blown all over forcing me to restring my rods when I get to the next spot to fish. They have just the right tension too.
I can see how they could come in real handy using long leaders too. Like for striper & walleye fishing.....
