Guys.....went to the range today to shoot my 581 Smith and TC Contender.
Bought a box of Rem UMC 357mag 125gr JSP to shoot in the Smith and had a box of Win 45 Colt 225gr Lead Round Nose to shoot in the Contender.
Just tickle to death with the 581S&W
shot and total of 12 rounds...no cylinder bind
6 shot group at 15yds....Rem UMC 357mag. 125gr JSP

Started rough with the 45 Contender....At 25yds the groups were terrible...
Buckled down and held a firmer grip on the pistol and left with thi 3 shoot group at 25yds.Win 45 Colt Lead Round Nose

Tickled to death with my S&W........

Cleaning Out Lead

Was shooting lead bullets in my Contender. Barrel is leaded up some. What's the best solvent for cleaning this out. This is a new game for me.
I dont know what the best is. I just buy one that removes copper, lead, and plastic. That way I dont have to have three kids of solvent .

Okay...thanks catchdag :)

I know years ago...when I had a Ruger super blackhawk...I leaded it up with 44 specials. I bought some kind of treated cloth that cut the lead pretty good...but can not remember what it was called.
When a barrel leads up for me, I always saved 5 or 6 jacketed rounds for the end and that would push the leading out and then clean with Hoppes. They (Hoppes) also make a lead remover.

For many years Lew's made a lead remover. They looked like fine round brass screens you used like a cleaning patch. Scraped the lead out with out damage to the barrel.

I forgive you.
