Anyone here In Ohio a amatur taxidermist that have mounted some birds to use as decoys for turkey season? When I hunted in WNY I did this and worked very well and was wondering if there are any fellow turkey hunters that do the same
this might sound dumb to some but I skin the bird, inject the feet then fill with expanding foam after I sew it up good, I use my own artificial heads and a little foam will leak at the seams and the neck hole but it is quick easy and works great. you just have to shape the body as the foam expands once the foam starts to set I will pin wings in place. ( i bondo the tailfeathers in posiotion before foaming)
