Checking in and ready to go. Went out last weekend and heard 6 different birds, all within chasing distance. Going out again tomorrow to do some more scouting. Cant wait for it to get here, Ive got the fever like in a real bad way.

Went out again this morning, didnt hear but two birds, of which neither one was on the property that I can hunt. Kinda windy, and wet, so hopefully I have enough recon for next weekend and the following week. Took the first week of season off to see if I cant take me a bird. Got a bird this morning, 9" beard, 7/8" Spurs. Gonna try for the upgrade tomorrow. Good Luck to all!!

Yes mike, I am over by the mall. I have some property I hunt down on pleasantview road, just outside of bremen going out 664. Its an amish farm, the back side of hideaway hills. Lots of good birds down there. Yes, Ive had alot of luck in fairfield, however, I still do most of my hunting in Hocking.

is it the hickory rocker shop place? my property is on westpoint and goes out to pleasantview and mt. zwingle and then my dads is on pleasantview. we dont have a ton of birds but there seem to be enough for everyone.

Yep, sure is. I havent hunted it in a few years, but Eli is a really nice farmer. I always seemed to get the birds fired up, but they are always in Hide away hills, and what I wouldnt give to hunt in there. Good Luck!!

Well, season has closed for me. I killed my second bird today. Its not going to be an upgrade, but it was definetly record book worthy for me. He came in from clear on another ridge. 10" Beard, 5/8 spurs, weighed in at 23lbs. Rough ole bird, feet looked like they had been broke at some point, claws were wore down to nubbs, scaled missing. Really white head too. Good luck for everyone else still hunting, hope you kill records!!!
