Good luck tomorrow gents. Hope we all put some birds on the ground.
I am working tonight and tomorrow so no hunting for me until wed. hope the weather is nicer.
I've got a funeral today, but will be out tomorrow and the rest of the week too. Funny thing is I just had a big Longbeard run right out in front of my truck .

It was a cold windy morning here. Never heard or saw a single bird. Hope tomorrow is better.

My dad connected at my farm this morning at 645. My sis and her bf also connected at a farm they hunt up around columbus around the same time..other than that I heard it was a nasty day.
Pretty slow morning, this wind sucks. No gobbles, but did see a yote about 20 min ago.

I connected with a 23lb bird this morning. 9.5" beard and 1" spurs. Pics later. Although it was cool (37 degrees) the wind had died down, which helped. There were 2 birds that gobbled a total of 3 times on the roost before flying down. I set up within 200 yards of them and worked them for half an hour before they came my way. I was set up in thick greenbriars and had them within 30 yards several times, but couldn't get a good shot to take. The lead bird was spitting and drumming the entire time. Finally, they worked around from my right side to my left and came to check things out. I dropped the lead bird at 25 steps and his buddy took off for parts unknown. Hope to get my parents on the other bird later today, or maybe catch up with him tomorrow. Good luck guys.

Congrats! Just had two Longbeards sneak within ten yards of the blind, they seen the decoys and decided not to come out into the field in front of us. If we'd had our guns instead of bows it would've been a double for sure.

He was a scrapper for sure. Had 2 tail feathers broken off and a spot on his breast from fighting.

Didn't kill a bird today, but was still able to do some damage on this fat sow that came trotting in to my decoys

Nice job on the yote!

I got a backup bird this morning if we need it. I think he's the buddy from the bird I got yesterday. 17lbs, 9.5" beard, 3/4" spurs.

Nice Birds, I havent had a bit of luck, maybe next week if I can make it out.
I've been after it every morning. Things should pick up next week when I head south.

Anybody been out? I have been out every morning but the hunting is really slow on my land in Miami co. Heading to tri valley wildlife area this weekend with my buddy that lives over that way. You guys ever heard of it? This will be my first time there. My buddy shot a nice one there last weekend. Also bringing my girlfriend there for her first ever turkey hunt. Hope it pays off for the both of us.
