My neighbor, who will remove my 2 fallen pine trees that came down in the storm of 05/21/2022, has been really busy with his farming duties & other work so he hasn’t had the time to remove the trees. I decided to remove a lot of the smaller limbs to make it easier for him to get to the big stuff.

The last storm put down so much rain, 1.6” here, that all the corn stalks & leaves that were in the field to the west floated out with a lot of it getting left in my ditch. That will also be part of my clean-up.

It is supposed to be in the 70s today, Sat., 06/18/22, so I got started at 10:10. I filled the dump bed on my 4-wheeler twice with corn cobs, leaves, & roots & hauled it back to the rip rap pile. I also cut & loaded 2 trailer loads & cut up a lot of other limbs & branches. My back started barking so I quit at 12:00. I mowed, did some weed eating & spraying & have decided that enough was enough for 1 day. There is still quite a bit of smaller stuff that I could get rid of but I’m hoping my neighbor gets to it before I do. I have known for a few years that I’m not as good as I once was but I’m not even as good once as I ever was.
