I usually fish the Covington area in the summer months regularly! Ive got some nice honey holes for smallies, but catch and release them. Now the rock bass go in the bucket! Greenville Creek has some nice fish in it as well! Glenn

I love rockie fishin'

There used to be tons and tons of them in the Scioto, especially below Griggs dam...........but idiots have wiped them out. They were easy pickins' early/mid spring. If you had a soft craw you were set. I used to take four or five home once a year........good finger good! Add a little salt/vinegar........YUM:)

Over this way I seem to get more smallies than rock bass. Not real big mind you but there still alot of fun. I think a warden needs to hang around the Covington ares more! Too many illegal fish being taken and limits, well thats another storie!I havent been down there since it got cold,Im doing the saugeye thing at Loramie now! I'll hit those rivers when it warms up more! Im waiting patiently to use my bamboo fly rod my grandfather gave me!Just think of a 2# smallie break the surface gets me pumped! Glenn

I did some fishing in Northern Miami and Darke county this Sunday! They are very active this way! Nothing big to be caught , but I know there in there! Most that were caught were around a pound. I was hoping to get into some rockbass to try out, Ive never eaten them and would like to give it a shot. Glenn:D :D :D :D
