Sad Day in American History
Back in (86 I think it was) I saw the other space shuttle explode on takeoff live while living on the east coast of Florida, I knew it as soon as I saw that smoke coming out of the side of it, and all my co-workers were saying naw no way it was exploding but it happened. Anytime you venture into the unknown, your taking a calculated risk and it's just a shame that they never made it back this time. I think that the damage was done on take off to the wing, which led to problems on re-entry. No matter how many times they launch this shuttle, the astronauts know going in that they could not be coming back and the risk their taking. I believe these folks deserve the Congressional Medal of Honor, for the service that they have done for their country. Our prayers go out to these 7 brave individuals and their familes.
