Hi Guys,

New to Ohio. Been hunting in Michigan all my life and I'm looking for land to hunt on in Ohio. I have plenty of private land available to me in MI, but do not know hardly anybody in Ohio and as such - I think I'm stuck with public land for now.

I was thinking about going to Wildcat Hollow because it is a primitive weapons area. Does this reduce the pressure of hunters or are primitive hunters drawn to it and it's crowded?

TF, Wildcat Hollow gets crowded for the early primitive season. From the start of bow season to the start to shotgun season is not as crowded. They have a primitive campground there and it start filling up 3 days before early primitive season. Early primitive is only Oct. 15-21. Wildcat has above average number of deer but few big racked bucks.
