I'm wondering of anyone has any info about the Scioto River they'd NE willing to share. Here's my questions:

How far up can you get a boat up the Scioto from the Ohio? I've got a 16 ft. Jon boat with a 6 hp on it.

What's the average depth? I know there's going to be holes and shallow spots, but I've been told the first riffle is way up near Circleville, just lookin for an average.

How's the fishing? I drive over it from time to time on 52 going to Portsmouth. It looks pretty good, but I know looks can be deceiving.

I'm lookin to possibly hit it this weekend. I'll probably put in in Portsmouth and head up the Scioto and make camp somewhere out of the way (yeah, I know...) and then do a little juggin and bow-fishing. Probably make a weekend out of it. So, any and all info would be appreciated.

Right now you will make it to Rush Town. About where Brush Creek feeds into the river. Not sure on mileage up stream though. Good luck.
