  1. Hello!

I just moved to the northern Cinci area less than a year ago and am interested in deer and turkey hunting. Needless to say, I have no connections to private land.

Any tips on public land within 1.5 hours that are decent for hunting?

  2. There's a few places east worth checking out, closest being East Fork State Park. It get crowded, but you can still now hunt with little to no folks during the week. Also, just stay away from parking areas. Get a map and check out the areas you can get way (relatively) back in.
Stonelick State Park- smaller than EF, but its still huntable.
Bott WMA- close to SL, but I know nothing about it.
Indian Creek WMA- All flat, some deer, some pressure. If you get away from folks, you have a chance.
Tranquility WA- Better than all of those combined.
Brush Creek State Forest- Very hilly, some pressure, a neat hunting experience.
Shawnee State Forest- More rugged than BC, but I like it the best. You'll either love it or hate it. Very hilly, lots of briars, some pressure, not much except near where locals drive the deer.

North of you are areas, but I dont know much about them as far as deer.
    Spring Valley WMA.
    Caesars Creek State Park
Fallsville- a buddy of mine hunted there for years and did pretty good.
    Houston Woods????
I'm probably forgetting some, but that's a start.
For you're best bet, I'd check out Fallsville, Caesars, Tranquility and then Shawnee or Brush Creek.
