I was driving east on Williams Rd. just west of Ricart ford, looked to my right and saw at least 12 deer standing in a front yard back off the road. It was right before dark so I didn't get a good look, almost caused an accident trying to see............dam rubberneckers:rolleyes: :p

My wife's niece and her husband live in worthington, and in July we went back to their house about midnight, and right there in their back yard was a nice doe. We were sitting on the deck in easy bow range watching her later on.

check this ouy ,the other day i stoped by my mothers house in north royalton. my wife forgot something in the car and went out to get it .she came back in the house freaked out , she had 3 bucks 15 yards off the driveway grunting and stomping their hoofs at her. i went out to check it out, there was a nice 8 point, big 12 point, and the ring leader was a 16 point monster with an attitude.my mom says that the guy across the street feeds them horse oats.from what i seen horse oats grow a pretty nice rack!

i was up in columbus a couple of weeks back and saw something that really looked out of place.
on hamilton road under the 270 overpass, side by side were 2 good sized does lying dead on the concrete divider that separates the north and south lanes of hamilton road.
seems like alot of deer are taking up residence inside of the city limits!

BottomBouncer,

I know exactly where your talking about. I live not too far from there, and see deer out there all the time. On the other side of Williams in the field along 270, I've seen 15-20 at a time! I think they stay back in that park (Three Creeks).

I actually caled game warden to make sure.I have 1 acre lot hunting 1/3 of it. The secound I step off my lot without written permission Im tresspassing and poaching,He said I would need to go to city law department to get permission but dont expect to get it from them. So unless they drop dead im SOL.

there was 2 nice bucks that were often seen off hamilton rd by eastland mall.one had double drop tines .very big.the other near p&y.i worked at a apt. complex there and we had a large wooded area where the deer bedded and fed.we had a 16' ladder stand about 100yds from our shop in the woods, these deer passed under it at about 15 yds,the other maint. guy that worked with me called odnr and city officials about using bows with urban permits.no way they said.it was nice to see them all the time.could not find the sheds.i think the locals in a small hamlet were beating us to them.the biggest was probably boonie .
