For most of the winter, the turkeys spend almost all their time on the farm across the road and rarely venture on to my farm. Some years they don't return until early April. I already put up a picture from February 15th of the gobbler group. They rejoined the main flock across the road shortly afterwards and I haven't seen them since. Then I got this picture of the main hen group as they wandered through my farm on March 10th. There was actually a jake and a longbeard at the back of this flock as they filed past the camera. Once again they didn't stay long and are back across the road. But just the fact that they are wandering lets me know that spring is on its way.
