I have recently bought a late 1800s H Peiper .22lr for dirt cheap.I have been reading and seeing it may also be considered to be a 32 rimfire, whats the difference in ammo, bore size etc? Any answers would help!! thanks.:coolgleamA:

bore size. should be able to eyeball the difference in barrel diameter. You probably wont find 32rimfire ammo at a price low enough to shoot.
and you may not have a 22 long rifle chamber.
There are quite a few "floberts" around being sold over and over again to persons who dont know what they are buying.

its not only the bore size but the length of the chamber. Its possible it was made before the long rifle length was invented. the first guns fired a very weak 22 that only had primer paste, no powder.
