Gun ranges

Discussion in 'Ohio Trapping and Varmint Hunting' started by adams603, Dec 15, 2002.

  1. I know this isn't the right topic for this forum but I would like to know of some gun ranges. I live in Stow(N. Eastern) ohio.
I love to target shoot and reload and work up loads for my guns.
Also I have been looking for a hunting club to join but can't find one. Please help.

  2. Call the ODNR in your area and they could tell you where the ranges are. Also call the ranger in your area and he should know the sportsman clubs around you.

  3. Ohio Ranges

Two ranges that I can refer you to in Coshocton County are Woodbury and the range my partner and I are opening. Woodbury is an ODNR range situated about 10 miles west of Coshocton on 541. Woodbury has 25, 50, 100 and 200 yard firing lines and will be shutting down for winter at the end of Dec until first of March (???). Our range is about 15 minutes off of I-77 outside of Plainfield, OH. Initially it will be just 1000yd range, but plans are for other distances as well. The primary purpose of the range is for 1000yd benchrest shooting. Feel free to contact me at robash@coshocton.com if you have any questions.

    Thanks
    Rob

  4. There is one near the Grand River Wildlife area. I am not sure if its in Trumbull or Ashtabula County though. Great range, state operated. A bit too far to travel for me though.

  6. Hi Brian. I was going to send you the link to this forum, but it appears that you already have it.

Brian is right. The range at Grand River is only a few years old and is very nice. They have covered benches at ranges of 25, 50 and 100 yards.
