I saw zero deer while I was hunting yesterday. A good bit of shooting in the morning. Maybe about 40-50 shots which is way more than the last few years. Yesterday afternoon was much slower.
I made it out to today's spot just before 7am. Super cloudy so couldn't see to shoot at legal time anyway. Saw a doe and 2 fawns at 7:15am. They were 80 yards away and walked right into the standing corn. Then a lone doe came walking right past me at 7:57am. I'll put a bigger write up in my blog later but after missing shots at 2 different deer last year and having a muzzleloader hangfire/miss the year before, I am super happy today.
