Here is alittle trick that I`ve been useing for years that some of the newer reloaders might not know. When neck sizeing your brass I have found that Mica applied to the neck only works real well. I have a small plastic box that bullets came in that I use for this. It is about 1/3 full of number 12 shot. ( number 9 shot will work well for rounds down to .22 cal., but 12`s are far better for .17 cal. stuff.) To the shot I add a big tea spoon of Mica, cclose the lid and shake it up. When relaoding I just stick the necks into the shot and load. No messy grease to mess with and the Mica won`t degrade your powder if a very small amount get to the powder. If you don`t have Mica graphite will also work, it`s just alittle blacker and shows up mose when you get it on you or spill it.
