Not to interrupt the Amish bashing and ODNR hating on this thread. But, do salt licks count as feeding? I see them in a few of the places I go out and hunt on in public land. Not sure if this proposed band would include those.

I'm more on the NW area of Ohio and have mostly had good encounters with Amish. Haven't had any major issues with decimating wildlife populations that I'm aware of, but then again I haven't been hunting that long either. I would imagine the Amish around Holmes County are much different though. Took a couple trips there in the past and you can tell that they are all about big $$$, they use technology, solar panels on roofs everywhere, etc. And while you cant control what others do on their own land, I can definitely understand that it would be quite frustrating for someone to come along and destroy your local wildlife population through illegal means (i.e. killing everything in sight year round), especially if you've preserved that area for many years to cultivate healthy deer populations.

And while I'm not a fan of killing right over food piles, I'm also not a fan of big brother government telling people what they can/cannot do on their own land either. If someone wants to plant food plots or scatter out a quality supplemental food source here and there whenever forage becomes scarce, I am not sure what the harm in that would be. How is it any different than deer eating through a soybean ag field?
You are so lucky my friend
My property went from the land of the giants to diaper land in less than 2 years of their destruction to our neighborhood herd, EVERYONE in our neighborhood, I don’t like the word, but they All hate the Amish in Knox County in the pealer mill road area and Jericho road area, I’ve been raised to never hate, but it’s tough to see their destruction of our neighborhood herd that was exciting to have and not have temptation to hate.

You never quit bashing the Amish. I would suggest you sell out to them and move to another state.

I don’t think so, they can move back to PA or Wisconsin, we liked our state the way it was, I don’t bash Amish, I just speak the truth about them, if you call me bashing then I guess the 3 counties surrounding me are bashing them too, you must be Amish, maybe you should move with them since you seem to be quite fond of them, move to our area of Knox County and you WILL change your mind.
Layoff of your personal bashing to me, go bother someone else!

Arrow 7 hates Amish and hates crossbows and baiting and a litany of other things. It’s just more of the same here.
Redarrow7 doesn’t hate anything, or anyone!
I just love the outdoors, and at 64 I have a clear
Vision of what has had negative and positive impacts on the great outdoors of OHIO
I do appreciate ignorance to judge though, shows character.

Also, I ran into our local Wildlife officer and I asked him if he had heard any rumblings about this topic. He looked at me like I was crazy, which maybe I am for still being in this topic. :ROFLMAO:
