I just wonder what the ratio of tags sold to the bag limit and this so called record number.I would bet that there were more tags sold this year than any year in the past. They always claim another breaking year, well what do you expect to happen when you triple the bag limit and double the bag limits in area yuo numbers are going to go up.I dont think that we as hunters had any better year for deer than we have had in the past it was just had more tags to fill nad most did.I still believe they need to look into going back the the one deer limit statewide for a couple years to get the herd back up they say there are 500,000 deer in Ohio but i find that figure pretty high and i dont think that we have more deer just less area (habitat)for the deer to run any more which is making it alittle easier to hunt them.Just think if we offer three tags in area and 4 tags in some area we could have another record breaking year and these hunters are thinking we are doing a good job.

What I'd really like to see more so than the ration of tags sold is actual number of hunters vs harvest. Almost everyone who hunts the property I do shot at least two if not three deer and only one did not get a deer but they only hunted one day.
