Custom rod building

Does anybody here build their own rods? I would like to build some custom crappie rods. Janns tackle is where I will purchase the blanks and parts from. Any tips? Also noticed they sell kits. How is the quality? Thanx LakeRaider:""

Be careful

I hear that rod building can become addictive too !! Sure looks like an interesting hobby. I'd like to make a few off those St Croix blanks for those kitty cats !:p
