Computer Question

ANYONE KNOW WHY MY COMPUTER ALL OF A SUDDEN WILL NOT OPEN FILES ATTACHED TO AN E-MAIL OR A WEB PAGE, SAY FOR EXAMPLE THAT THERE WAS A POST WITH A FILE ATTACHED TO IT HIGHLIGHTED IN BLUE I CLICK ON IT IT WILL OPEN BUT WILL NOT SHOW ANYTHING JUST BLANK, ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS "J"

I would shut the computer down and reboot everything and then try it. May have lost a ffile and rebooting may open some files you lost. Just a suggestion.;)
