ANYONE KNOW WHY MY COMPUTER ALL OF A SUDDEN WILL NOT OPEN FILES ATTACHED TO AN E-MAIL OR A WEB PAGE, SAY FOR EXAMPLE THAT THERE WAS A POST WITH A FILE ATTACHED TO IT HIGHLIGHTED IN BLUE I CLICK ON IT IT WILL OPEN BUT WILL NOT SHOW ANYTHING JUST BLANK, ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS "J"

I would shut the computer down and reboot everything and then try it. May have lost a ffile and rebooting may open some files you lost. Just a suggestion.

I have had that happen to me only to find out the mail attachment was a virus. my advice is to buy a good antivirus program. I use norten 2002 internet security and 2002 norten antivirus. It does to many things to list. but to name a few it blocks pop up ads. And records hackers ip adresses. So you can track them down and report them. Ive taken many hackers off the internet with this program. It seems like every other day I am writing letters to different companys about hackers that attack with a back door sub seven trojan virus attack. Also might want to try system restore if you have windows xp.

Actually, I had that same thing happen to me yesterday, tried rebooting and everything and I can't figure out what's wrong. I don't think it's a virus, and I downloaded an antivirus trial that found nothing.
