Was planning on hitting the mad, but the rain brought it up a little too high, so I headed up to the clear fork. Weather was decent by human standards, 40ish degree air, clear skies. sorry, no water temp. The high pressure though worried me, the kind of weather that makes critters disapear. Anyway, the water level in the park was perfect.

Started out throwing streamers, not much action, but a few small fish. Switched to nymphing. Found a nice hole and caught 2 nice fish over 12". Missed several other strikes, was very disapointed in myself. Caught both fish on an egg pattern I was drifting as a dropper fly to a prince. Switched to BIG streamers looking for larger fish, but no luck. Hooked one more fish, but lost it after a short fight. Fishing was slow for me and all the others I talked to. A nice day though, and I think fishing will improve if the weather stabilizes.
