I don't know how to fly either, but do know how to fly fish. If you want a real adventure fish somewhere else, if your just looking to have a little fun that requires no skill by all means go and have a blast, look at it this way someone is going to fish there it might as well be you. The fish at the hatchery will eat ANYHTING.

I just was looking @ the lottery, figured that would be a good place to learn how to fly fish. Like i said my buddy is going to teach me in the spring, thought if i was lucky enough to get drawn, would be a good place to learn!!

I did two years ago. I have caught more trout easier on the Muskegon and Big Manistee than the stretch that they had us fishing for the lottery that day. They may be using different water now, but there is enough for some diversity. There were both pools and runs where we fished. If they have instructers available I think it would be ideal.

Go for it tahoej.

Been lucky enough to get drawn twice. This is a great place to take a youngster if you can. I did and they had a blast. The fishing is as easy as J-Blocker stated. They will bite on anything from flies to power bait. Take a few minutes to tour the grounds when you get done fishing.
