Went out calling coyotes last week and was able to shoot this coyote. My buddy and I made 3 sets. Called in 5, shot this one and missed two more. The misses were mostly due to lack of communication between us which led to running shots. Below is the list of my night hunting equipment:

Sig Cross 6.5CM
Bering Optics R35 2-8x thermal optic
Pulsar Axiom thermal scanner 2.5-10x
Bogpod Death Grip tripod
ICOtec outlaw E Caller
Banish 30 suppressor
Federal Varmint & Predator ammo 95gr VMax

I'd be interested in the winning weight at that tourney we have seen some very large dogs. They have been extra vocal the last couple weeks mating. Unfortunately I am working 7 days a week and have not had the energy to get out more than 1 evening the last 3 weeks. I only made two sets that night and never pulled the trigger, but I called in a pair at one spot and was winded by a loner at the second set. Now that land owners nearby me have found out I hunt and actually kill coyotes I have had two strangers show up at my door and provide me with permission! The one guy I knew of him and he gave me keys to one of his farm gates and drive me around to show me the property. He's been seeing them during the day while moving hay.

Good luck to all

Called in a pair on the first set. Shot the female the male escaped. Should have had both. It was one of those I’ll shoot the one of the left and we ended up shooting the same one. After that all the shots at the male were running wide open. Heading back out tonight. After that first stand last night it was slooowwwww. Hunted Guernsey county last night be out in Harrison county tonight.

Got two more tonight! The ICOtec Outlaw is incredible. The sounds are really awesome. Cant say enough about how thermal optics and suppressors have really changed our hunting for the better. Saved some fawns this weekend.

We didn’t win any $ in the tournament. Heaviest dog was 39.2 our heaviest was 33. Small dog was 24.4 our smallest was 27.6. 15 coyotes checked in today. We checked in 3 accounting for 20% of the kill. Great event. Attached is next months tournament and rules.

Slow night last night. Made 9 stands only had one coyote come in on the second stand. Came in running to the caller. Tried 4x to stop him with a “whoop” but he was on a mission. Tried a running shot to no avail. It was quiet pretty much after that. Oh well! Good times regardless.
