Nah, everything will be alright in Brown's Town. Might even start being a competitive team before too long. Most Browns fans have wanted Randy to sell the team for quite a while.

That may be the idea. He did take a $130 million bath the past couple years from Aston Villa. He said a long time ago that he would sell the team if he felt he wasn't getting the job done. His heart is in Birmingham England.

I read some of them-I "was" a sixteen year season ticket holder- Until they get it together(which I have my doubts) they can go to Puerto Rico!

They have a 30 year agreement with the city on the stadium-their not going anywhere, anyway!:biggrin:

If that's the case, I'm glad he's selling. But I just can't help thinking that his timing is impecable...
It sounds like Haslim is a big sports fan with the $ to get what he wants. If he can make them competitive, then so be it. From what I heard on WTAM, Randy did his best in trying to fill his dad's shoes, but just couldn't get it done. Bad luck? Maybe. Bad decisions. Probably. But if his heart's not there, then he's probably done the right thing. Let someone else try.

So far I like this Jimmy Haslam though. Seems like he cares, and is gonna be a no nonsense kind of owner.:thumbs_up:

They named Weeden the starter today. I'm kinda bummed for Colt, but I like the rookie so far. We'll see how he holds up to a James Harrison blitz, then we'll know!
