We catch a lot of crappie

between 8" and 12" so I'd say 10" is the average in SW Ohio. LakeRaider""

Me and Catking got cabin fever in November and crappie fished a bit. Not the biggest crappie of the year but something to pull our strings.

We get the bigger ones in May.

The places I fish for crappie are full of runts, tons of 6inch fish, I think I need some new spots

I have a place I like to call "Lake X" where there is a fair share of runts, but about every 12th fish is a fish Ohio, largest last year was a tad over 15".
Alum creek averages 8-10 inches......a few big ones here and there.
