I noticed that the ODNR uses the term "handgun". In reading the difference between handgun and pistol, they seem to differ only in that the term handgun can be used with both hands or one handed. The pistol seems to be used one handed. This is what I gathered from the online encyclopedia? So basically, they're one and the same. I would like to make a purchase in .45 colt. Traditionally a pistol, sorry, "revolver" round. So, I was hoping to talk with a game warden on the subject, but haven't been able to make contact yet. Definately don't want to be in violation when hunting. Means too much to me. Thanks for replying ohiosam.
