My Family's Experience
I live in Columbus but my family and I own approximately 175 acres located in Scioto County, we have had numerous problems with them meaning(4wheelers, motorcycles and off-road cars and trucks that poach wildlife) dating back to the mid to late 70's. These people have tresspassed on our land and desecrated the landscape, with ruts and mudholes that can swallow a full sized truck not to mention the trash they have littered upon us. Just recently we have been starting to enforce the no tresspassing policy, I have found that most of these people have no respect for our land whatsoever and are angry that they now risk an arrest and possible jail sentence for something that took advantage of without our permission for all these years.
My opinion of this off road stuff is, go to a designated area to ride your whatever you want to call it, your a menace to honest working and law abiding folks who don't want your unwanted appearance on their property. I don't come ride in your yard or property or poach wildlife, don't come to mine. And remember the landowner who does not want you there, by staying away. BTW, I own a 4wd truck and I don't off road on my own property, I used to hunt also but I only go now for the thrill of the stalk not the kill, I don't carry a gun. (But I'm OK with hunting), Just the trespassing that ticks me off and destruction of property that I don't like.
