AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh

Need to add Disclaimer for responsible ATV users only in the title of this forum.
Unfortunatly I find alot of ATV users are slobs. Most are too ignorant to realize, or dont care if they disrespect other hunters. I had many hunts ruined buy ATV's and see very few peolple using them responsibly.

Thanks BottomBouncer

If someone put their stand right off of the path........then it's their fault.
Thanks Bottom Bouncer your statement just supports my anti ATI feelings. Most are too ignorant to realize, or dont care if they disrespect other hunters.

Use your ATV to get deer out,do any pre season work you need done. Respect other hunters around you and using your ATV to be minimal impact.

They are getting much more numerous..Here in Jackson county you always saw hordes of hunters comming in the friday before gun season, lots of them were pulling campers...Now lots are pulling trailors with up to 6 atv's on them.

Many people here in Michigan use them to pull shanties, and their stuff out on the ice to fish. IMO no different than a snowmoblie in this case.

I think the biggest problems here in Ohio are, their use while hunting on state lands, and they have made some private land unavalible for hunting because of leaving ruts etc...All being said I wish I had one:D ..I would not use it for hunting however.

aimrite.i do not agree with if you put it on the trail its your fault.i have stands at clelans and if a trespassing puke rides by me its not my fault.now if clelan comes by on a atv...no problem.and there is no excuse for pukes to have them at poston.no matter wher a stand is located.not only is it rude, the damage they caust in muddy cond. and erosion.

I wouldn't have asked for a ATV forum if I thought everyone was going discuss how much they dislike people who ruin their hunting.

It's just like anything else, jetskiers, people with 10 rods on the bank............all the same people, yet we don't discuss them all the time!

There are people out there that ride on designated trails. Not everyone is a jerkoff like you guys make it sound. Take it up with them:mad:

Thats true BB, But having a forum you will have several different views about something, being positive or negitive. You just have to go with the flow and not get mad when people don't think the way you do or act the way you want them to. Like some people i know. LOL .. We are all here to have fun and just state our opinions. Ok, stepping down off my soap box now.;)

My Family's Experience

I live in Columbus but my family and I own approximately 175 acres located in Scioto County, we have had numerous problems with them meaning(4wheelers, motorcycles and off-road cars and trucks that poach wildlife) dating back to the mid to late 70's. These people have tresspassed on our land and desecrated the landscape, with ruts and mudholes that can swallow a full sized truck not to mention the trash they have littered upon us. Just recently we have been starting to enforce the no tresspassing policy, I have found that most of these people have no respect for our land whatsoever and are angry that they now risk an arrest and possible jail sentence for something that took advantage of without our permission for all these years.

My opinion of this off road stuff is, go to a designated area to ride your whatever you want to call it, your a menace to honest working and law abiding folks who don't want your unwanted appearance on their property. I don't come ride in your yard or property or poach wildlife, don't come to mine. And remember the landowner who does not want you there, by staying away. BTW, I own a 4wd truck and I don't off road on my own property, I used to hunt also but I only go now for the thrill of the stalk not the kill, I don't carry a gun. (But I'm OK with hunting), Just the trespassing that ticks me off and destruction of property that I don't like.

2 cents

I don't know why everyone is flaming the atv's. I thought this was going to be a forum for them to exchange their views and opinions ... not to debate what they like to do .. Personally I don't think they have a place in hunting, other than for disabled people but I don't feel this thread was intended for that debate, I am sure we wouldn't like it if someone came into the fishing or hunting forums and started flaming... Just an observation .. But if you want we can flame them in the hunting section:D :D :D :D :D Just kidding
