I was wondering if anyone has used the Mossy Oak,Biologic PH Meter, to test their PH. levels and can you tell me if they are accurate and can you test the soil with them when the ground is frozen? Also how long before I frost seed, Should I put down lime, fertilizer for my spring plots? Thanks, Pike

i have seen mixed results with the ph meters. i, myself tested them and found that they where way off. that was 2 years ago so i do not know how the newer ones work. the best thing to do is have the soil tested. as far as lime and fertilizer go, your soil test will tell you how much to put down. frost seeding should be done in spring when the ground is freezing at night and thawing during the day. if you do it too early and the seed germinates, then you have a hard frost it can kill the plants.
