The camera really got a work out on the drive home from lunch today starting with an eagle. I was headed east on Orr Road when I spotted what I thought was a buck in the bean field next to a friend’s house. It did have some bone started on its head, I thought.

I turned north on Ross Road & was able to get some closer pics which did show the start of a rack. Next thing I knew, a fawn came running up to the other deer. I wondered if the fawn was confused or if the “buck” was actually a doe growing a rack. I didn’t get a clear view of the undercarriage & couldn’t tell what it was except that it was a deer.

While I have seen hen turkeys with a beard, I have never seen a doe with a rack in the wild, if that’s what it was.

That sure looks like a doe to me GKS. Teets and all. Rare find right there.
It definitely is a doe. I missed the bag in the 4th pic when I cropped the pics

Thx.
