Anyone out looking yet? Been hearing people with cams of some only holding one side and some with both lost. May get out this Saturday.

I'm just starting to remember to keep a watch out while I'm out running the beagles.

Out rabbit hunting with the pup yesterday on a friend's farm and found the 1st two sheds of the season. The bigger one was pretty cool looking with several stickers - 2 off the base and 1 off the side of one of the other points. It also had a couple points that were chewed on and chew marks all down the main beam. And it was frozen in the muck. So it was either shed early or maybe it could be last year's?? I don't know. The picture in the snow is how the bigger one looked when I found it.

I found another while out rabbit hunting yesterday. Certainly the previous season's shed. I tried many different angles to break it free but it was solidly frozen to the ground. I'll go back and pick it up when it warms up.

And no the beagle did not find it. As interested as he is in chewing on sheds when he is in the house, he walks right over them in the field without even acknowledging they exist. LOL

that buck must have been browsing red oiser dogwood. It’s a great winter forage.
We have a ton of it around here.
Seven more this weekend

That is fantastic! How many miles do you think you walked to get those? Are you finding most of them in bedding areas, travel areas or fields? Seems like I find most of mine around fields, next in bedding areas and rarely on deer trails where they are just traveling.

I'll add a couple more to this thread I forgot to put up earlier. Found on the last Saturday of rabbit season. I bent down and unclipped the dogs from their leashes, stood up and was just about to take a step forward when I spied a shed just off to my right. "Hmmm?" I thought. I kind of scanned the area and about 20-30 yards away, there was another shed. From a different deer. LOL Here are the pictures as I found them and then together in my hand.
