Our hunt club has lost a few members this year on our lease and we are looking for some down to earth folks to fill the spots. This is located in South Eastern Ohio just a few miles from Buckeye Furnace. The lease is a little over 800 acres that touches Gallia, Vinton and Jackson counties. We also do a few hunts each year for wounded warriors and possibly this year a youth hunt. Feel free to PM for more details if you are interested or have any questions.
Hi im reply to the add looking for down to earth hunters to fill their lease. Im interested in what lease you have. My wife and I just purchased a small parcel of land in Oak hill, ohio to build our retirement home and im look for a place to bow hunt, gun hunt. I would like to know the particulars of this lease.
Just got done flying over a few places in Eastern and Southeastern Ohio, Wayne National Forest looks good between Griffith Rd. & Dent Ridge Rd. along the Little Muskingum River. Also parts of the Brush Creek Wilderness Area looks promising with the powerline running through it and what also looks like a pipeline by the Chronister farm. And I tried to fly over you club property, I think that area looks pretty good also. I have no way of telling exactly where your property lines are, but following a dirt road coming off of Morris Rd. and following it south to where it crosses from Vinton into Jackson county real close to Gallia county should be on your club land. The land I was viewing has some well used dirt roads on it with others breaking off and going out the ridges. Your club is farther south and west from where I was mainly looking. It looks pretty private. Hope you fill your roster. Good luck hunting in 2018.
I was only ever in a plane one time, it was the forth of July on our bicentennial year. A Guy by the name of Hallow (last name) took me up in a pontoon plane that he landed on the river below a local town called Jersey Shore. He explained things to me such as what happens when a plane stalls, I always thought it meant the same thing as a car stalling, NOT, when they say a plane stalled they just mean that the air speed was lowered to the point where the plain would no longer be able to fly. This fellow and a buddy of his was killed in a plane crash, perhaps the same plan a few years after I flew with him. They came down nose first into a corn field less than 5 miles to the south from where I flew with him. When I said that I flew over a few spots in Ohio I should have said it was Google Earth assisted, I have a habit of calling it flying. I can zoom in and see cars, buildings, roads, food plots, ECT. I can change from aerial views to terrain to topographical. Some are able to be copied for your personal use. Another site is My free topo's .com. There will be different ones to click on and you may have to try a few to get one that you like. This saves a bunch of time scouting an area, you can spot land features and places that you will want to put boots on the ground to check out. I only got in a plane that one time because of the day and year that it was, it was a Super Cub and the plane was actually over loaded with both of us being on the large side. The Big Bopper was not as lucky as I, the day the music died. Good luck with your hunting club, the area straight in your access road off of Morris road, looks to have a few ridges of mature timber, is this your club too this far to the north? It all looks like a good location .Good luck hunting and be safe.
Okay, I have this year's lease so we know exactly what buy in will be. We still have 2 spots open at $1500 each. Club is full at 8 members and guests are permitted. Outside of the first week of November and gun season as a weekend hunter I practically had the place to myself so there is very little pressure.
This gets you keys for the entire year to use whenever you please. Winding down from a fantastic turkey season, only 3 members to part in it, two of us filled tags. Nearly time to clean up around the pond for easier access for fishing this off season.
Again, this is a non-profit club and we are looking for 2 more members that are respectful and ethical hunters. We have had this property for a long time and hope to keep it a lot longer! Let me know if you are interested and we can go check the place out!

Club is full! If you were interested let me know and I will add you to a wait/contact list for next year if anyone doesn't re-up.
Now we are looking for a couple of wounded warriors that would like to hunt with us! If this describes you or someone you know please let me know.
Be careful of whom you let join, they may not be that person who you thought they were.
