I used to work in those areas and they are very anti hunting communities. I would also make sure hunting is even allowed in that city because it is a municipality and im sure they wont allow hunting. Call the police dept or city hall and make sure you get a name if someone told you yes.
im familiar with that area. I'd say you are at the least allowed to bowhunt on that amount of land. I would think gun hunt also just make sure you have written permission on you when you go. Have fun! You can shoot 1/2 hour after sunset and by all means don't move a muscle until the half hour is up......seems like that is the best shooting in gun season for us anyway....

I called the town and they say her address is not in Chagrin Falls and her zip ends in 23, CF zip is. 22.
They have had hunters their in the past and state rgulations stipulate written permission is a requirement.
Usually state law supersedes town except in some cases.
you are correct the state says written permission when on private. She maybe in a twp or village but still has a chagrin address cause that's where the post office is. Just make sure you find out exactly what town, village, city she is in so you don't get into trouble that area is yuppieville for the most part so make sure all your ducks are in a row. We have a village by me that has a lot of farm land and woods and i was kind of shocked to find out no hunting in the village boundary even though years ago i got permission to do so i was ran out of there by the neighbors so checked with the landowner and local PD and was told by the PD no hunting whatsoever.
I received a call back. She is in Newburg township even though she has Chagrin Falls as a mailing address. Harry from Planning and Zoning was kind enough to call me back and give me the answer.
The landowner has had hunters on the land and her husband hunted the property many years ago.
Thank you for additional clarification.
I will make a few more calls.
I live in Newbury and have hunted the area for 20 years. PM me if you need any info. Honestly if it's that large if s block in Newbury, I have probably hunted it or very close to it over the years so maybe I can provide some input.
I hunt in that Area also. If you're in Newbury, it's not actually Chagrin Falls which is Cuyahoga County. Just a Chagrin Falls mailing address. Some of the areas in Newbury are hunted pretty hard. Lots of good ole boys over there. Now Chagrin Falls is a true Gem. Too many tree huggers over there though.
