So many things happen every day.I figured I would start this thread for everyone to come to and post tidbits about their day.As well as their peeves, the good, the bad,the ugly, the funny, interests, jokes, and if you like serve up a few cups of B.S!!!

With that said, I will get this "Buzz"started!!:D

So I think I may hold the world record in the state of Ohio for finding a yellow jackets nest in the ground and getting stung. Last week while I was weed eating I hit a nest in the ground and got stung in the ear.Last night I actually found the nest and poured it a healthy shot of gasoline. I think this is the earliest I've ever found one in the ground.Any ol wives tails about yellow jacket nest in the ground early, correlate with how winter will be. (I've heard they have been known to make a Preacher cuss when he accidentally finds them)

Also one other thing that caught my attention here in the Great State of Ohio was, The woman who had a Gender revel party and was shot.I give my condolences to the family.( She lived) Yet when I saw a picture of her crying holding her belly that stuck out like a 5 month pregnant woman's belly would, and the headline read Woman has gender reveal party and wasn't even pregnant. I hate to say it I laughed and shook my head. Who does this kind of stuff. I mean really?

As a youngster growing up I used to get hot wheel tracks as Christmas gifts.Dad enjoyed watching as I would play set up jumps and loops and for a couple years my parents would add to what I had.I was probably about six years old when I felt that plastic come across my back side for the first time,as Christmas got closer that year I remember asking Mom and Dad to not buy me any more track for my hot wheels.I have had belts and harness taken to my back side to.I was in my teens when I got the last one I remember.I threw a rock while waiting on the bus one mornig and it hit my sister in the head I knew I was getting it that morning. She ran and told and dad called me back up to the house grabbed me and started with the belt.I stepped in the doorway of the living room and the kitchen and everytime the belt cracked on the wall I screamed.I went to school and never told anyone for a few years Dad did get a laugh out of it when I finally told him

I was kind of tough on my 2 girls My oldest was the worst when she was about 8 years old her mom and her were having a argument and the 8 year old was not getting her way.She got mad and I seen her swing and miss her mom thats when I stepped in,I told her if she ever felt the the need to swing at her mom again she could just take it out on me.

Now Sometimes kids forget what they are told and I most always stayed out of any dispute my wife had with the kids. The oldest daughter always pushed us both to our limits and at 14 her and her mom was going at it again in the other room, after about 15 minutes of this and really getting heated up my wife hollers my namenow it is time for me to step in as I walked in I seen my daughter swing at her mom needles to say I lost it.To this day my daughter will tell you the take off was quick the flight was short and the landing was really rough

kids are different , they can be raised by the same parents in the same manner and one is good and the other a hard case . But most of the time they do what they see . My step son came to live with us back in 2000 , it lasted about 30 days . I had to put him out because I felt my girls were in danger . His mom said he just said he would hurt them he didn't do it . I told her I'm not going to allow him to be here to do it . He just got kicked out of school for hurting a girl . He bent her finger back because she pointed it at him . Now he is leaving today and you can pack with him or just take him back to his dads . But he is not staying here another night . You standing up for him and not to him is half the problem , make your choice .

as you can tell I got it figured out....can't get that bbc code or even the correct link on the phone through imgur. I did figure out you can copy the email link and tag it and it works.

The wood was a good accomplishment.....that should get me through a huge chunk of hunting season at camp. Depends on how cold it is, how much we drink beer by the fire, and how many get deer because those are always heavy fire and beer nights.

Another accomplishment for today and something I can pass on in case people weren't aware. My boy's buddy has a really nice remington 1100 that was his dad's gun. It's not cycling right so the first thing I wanted to do is replace that o-ring. Ordered them through amazon prime. Was supposed to be here today but they transferred that order to USPS and our USPS out here is pretty lousy so they're a day late. Got on amazon chat and made them aware and got a free month added to our amazon prime. That's policy. If a prime order isn't there on time you get a free month.......$99/12 months= $8.25 windfall I got today. :D

Well I was laying down in bed... about to sleep when shooting starts going off at shooting range. Yes it's 945 pm yes it's dark yes I'm pissed!

Went out hunting today at 5 and the shooting started and went till dark. No I saw nothing, absolutely ridiculous for somone to think it's okay to fire off rounds 100s already in last 20 minutes at this time of night!

Yeah....there's a ton of info on the web comparing wood. I wish I knew more than I do about trees and wood. I know just enough to get by and mostly from experience. Like ironwood will completely destroy a chainsaw chain in quick fashion. It's almost impossible to cut with an axe. Back in our 20's me and a buddy learned that the hard way.
Another thing I've changed my opinion on is pine. I used to refuse to burn it for campfires because I considered it garbage wood. I burn it these days after it's sat a couple years. That really cuts down on the popping. Not sure exactly how many coals I've had land in my lap from pine popping but it's up there. If you let it season a good while that's not near as bad.

In the midst of building a hunting blind for the kids and adults.. Mainly tho for the kids.. I'll have to take some pictures once it's done. Think we may have went a little over board. Yet I don't ever want to have to repair it..

Other than that life's good.. Picking up puppy Thursday.( well the wife is I can't do long drives cause of my back) Anyhow I'm really excited for that. Hope my female dog takes well to him. It should be interesting. Other than that it's a rainy nasty day here in c town.
My plans are to lay around and do absolutely nothing,be as lazy as possible, relishing every moment of it. I'm pretty ceartin at this point, that I'm going to follow through with them..

The Good: We had a great mentored youth pheasant hunt this past Saturday.
The Bad: None of the kids would give me their shotgun when the birds flushed.
The Ugly: My "dogs" barked more than the real dogs!

That's a heck of a gathering. I'm sure it was a good time. Kudos to you for being involved with the youth.

what a day! work, come home...... wife had much needed dinner plans with a friend, I need to mow mother in laws, so load up 2 kids and a baby in the truck, get there and pile out. maple tree dropped so many leaves I can't mow. rake and have the "big girls" bag them....... didn't go well. lots of crying, about some one putting leaves in the wrong bag and they won't work together. get the back mowed and come back the small pile is picked up, still fighting for some reason and leaves are every where again. rake again and I help bag. mow the front. come in and baby is loosing her mind. mother in law feeds her so I run the girls to town for McDonald's (they didn't deserve it but not cooking, very tired). I tell girls they are not taking money from Grammy because they did a bad job and should work harder and not fight, more tears. pick up baby, thank Grammy and head out. home, baby crying wants to be held, big grils need to get to bed, so dress them and kisses good night, walk baby around for 20 mins...... out. laying on couch typing this and wondering how my wife stays home and does this. send me to work! get me in my ravine between two farm fields where there is quiet and critters to be had.

Ever have a deer mount fall off the wall for no apparent reason? Got a text from the wife yesterday morning at 6:58 am "so this just happened" attached was a pic of my 2011 buck mount laying upside down on the floor. Luckily he survived the fall, but made a heck of a mess and busted the crap out of a dead head that was below it on my gun safe. The anchor was still secure. I have no idea how that happens.

Beleave it or not.... I've had 3 fall of the wall. One was when I was living in Columbus many moons ago. It fell of the wall at around 2 am.. scared the living sh.t out of me.Thought we were getting robbed.. It basically just listens the horn on one side.

Had another one fall of the wall and hit my oak dinning room table scratched the ever living sh.t out of the table. No one was home. Head was fine.

Ugggghh ....The last one was when my house burnt. Found it laying on living room floor... with a horn busted off. Nose smashed etc...

Like yours the anchor was still secure.. I know how the last one fell. The other two I have no clue.

Before I put my heads back up I'm going to get some chain link Latin a dog chain. Nail it or use a fence staple to back of the mount. Then secure the other side to my anchor mount.

Last thing I need is it to fall off the wall from 16 or 18 feet on somone or my kid.

It's a horrible paranoid feeling when you see it and walk up to pic it up. Lol lucky yours survived.

Got new ML out today and started getting it ready to sight in maybe tomorrow. Spent a large chunk of time trying to figure out what the hell the parallax adjustment was on the scope. Never had one with that. Figured out what it is but have no idea where I should set it. The instructions are terrible. Says to set it for the 100 yd setting. No idea what that is....there's red and blue numbers on it and that's it. Nothing tells me what it should be at 100. I'm guessing you look at something at 100 yards and turn that until its clear and not moving?
