Went out to the deer stand site at Caesar's Creek yesterday. Could have arrowed a couple of pheasants (saw 4 within range)...decided I better let 'em go to those that came out to hunt them. Hard to do, though because pheasants are good eatin...and to have mine without picking pellets out of 'em seemed pretty temping. Guess I should have brought my dog and my gun!

Great job with the birds. How many did you see? I heard there was a good hatch this year up in Fulton and Williams counties. I'm wondering if you have seen a decline in crp up where you are at. I'm hoping to make it up to the Fayette area this season, haven't been up there in 2 years, not sure if the fields I hunted in the past are still there. I know there crp contracts were set to expire.

I hunted public land in SW PA today and had a great time. Took my dad along since he is here on vacation and never hunted with him before. Seen a lot of hunters but not much shooting. We instead had a double point but I missed everything . Seen two more along the edge of a field but were too close to safety area (house nearby). All in all it was beautiful morning I will never forget.

Ok i'm not gonna lie, these were from a release...I was going to a certain spot...but when I drove by one of the release areas there was only 1 group on the other side, so i decided I couldn't resist those easy birds...I got my limit within a half hour...And today me and my father went and got 4(Limited out) within 20 minutes...And we also saw 15 birds, and they seemed to be clumped up...It was kinda too easy...But we had a really good time...And also it was good for the dog since it was pretty hot out

P.S. The birds were in phenomenal condition, really long tail feathers, and flew very well, I was impressed for them being released birds...

Heres a pic from today, and I need to remember to stop taking pictures with my truck in the background, kinda ruins the authenticity
