I was on the water by 9 am but did not get my first bite until 11:15. I move to 3 different locations. Once they started things stayed steady.

Went up to Huron again on Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning was on the lake by 9 am. It got so windy and choppy so fast I came right back in. What a bust. Went back out on Wednesday morning. It was very cold but lake was calm, got my limit of 30 by noon. I am afaid that there are not too many calm days left this year.

I am heading up to Huron at noon today. I want to hit the evening walleye bite and then be there for perchin' in the morning. It's nice having a cottage near the water. Might have to try ice fishing this winter, but I have no idea what I would be getting into.

I got up to Huron on Saturday at 4pm and was on the water near the Huron pier until 10pm looking for walleyes. Found absolutely nothing. Talked to another boat fisherman and he said that Friday and Saturday produced nothing for him. Went out with a friend to perch Sunday morning. Conditions were good, the bite was extremely slow. Fished till 4pm, I kept 7 fair size ones, my buddy kept 8 fair size ones. We threw back several small ones, definitely a not good day. I had to beg the wife to let me stay up at the cottage one more day. She approved my request chit. Went back out Monday morning to the same place I have been getting my limit and brought back 20 very nice perch by 1pm. Some were 13 inch, some 12s, the rest were 8 inch or better. I stopped at 20 because the fish cleaning service has closed for the year and I got spoiled. 20 is all I felt like cleaning. Neighbor in the cottage behind me got 6 very nice walleys Sunday and 12 more nice ones on Monday. I'll post some pics of those later if I can still edit. He has a bigger boat and likes to go out near Cedar Point. My boat is back in the garage on stand by waiting for the next outing.
