Mead lands sold! Again!!!

For anyone interested, this week, all remaining E.T.C. (Mead) lands in Ohio and all other states were sold to private investors. No surprises here. Goeb

Thats might not be good news,I wish the ODNR would quite playing around and purchase the grounds,I would almost bet if they (THE ODNR)put out a flyer stating that they wanted to purchase this ground and they needed some help with the funds,I'm sure every hunter or fisher person would donate some cash and then this grounds could be added to Ohio national forest.I believe they would not have any trouble coming up with the money as long as the sportman of Ohio knew were there money was going.

Got any kind of link to this or is your info from contacting MEAD itself? I am very curious because I have heard they are going to sell it off. That being I am wondering my 80+ acre paradise aroudn them will do?

Biz, being an employee, bordering landowner, and leasee, I couldn't give any info if I had it. I do know that it has been sold. That is a fact that was given to us here at the Chillicothe Ops. yesterday. Everything else that I know is mostly rumor and mill gossip so I won't get into that. If I hear anything factual that I can legally post, or any public announcement is made, I will try to keep you informed. Goeb

well i dont know if its odnr or the u.s. forest service but i talked to forest service personal wayne national forest and they claim they dont have any money to buy land to add to the forest...
