Transporting a Shotgun

Anyone know what the regs are on transporting a shotgun on a 4 wheeler?? To be on the safe side I have been putting mine in a hard case and strapping it to my rack. I don’t carry it loaded, but it would be nice to just sling it across my back and be off. I am not one of "those" who hunt from a 4 wheeler and I don’t want the ODNR to write me a citation for carrying it improperly.

carrying it on the back would be very dangerous even if unloaded...it could bang or catch on something and could hurt you if you fell off for any reason...it should be cased...seems just like common sense
