When Lake Erie was still murky before the mussels I use to love Pitching jigs on the reefs and away from crowded reefs with any boats around... We'd really take some hogs with that technique :D
I haven't done that style of fishing in around 20 years since becoming boatless :(

Well..... I have never waded Lake Erie but have the Sandusky Bay area 20-25 years ago... I do wade streams and smaller inland lakes with pretty good success but never as good as when I am fishing from a boat and a boat with a platform is all the better :D
