Boy was it windy tonight. When the big dead tree about 50 yards behind me blew over, I was going to get out of the tree. Two minutes later a nice mature urban doe came in and gave me a 25 yard quartering away shot, and I blew a Slick Trick through the last two ribs and it came out in between her front legs, almost to the throat patch. Awesome bloodtrail, watched her crash. I also had two bucks walk under the tree. One was a nice 2 1/2 year old 8 point, and the second was a small six. Bad news is, I lost my broadhead along with the insert somewhere along her death run. Going to borrow my buddy's metal detector, and follow the bloodtrail maybe tomorrrow. It won't be hard to follow, I could see it from 20 feet up in the tree! ;)
