Gonna get out this weekend...want to be in the stand by 3:00 Saturday afternoon. Brother-in-law and a buddy from work are going, too. Sure would like to see three deer hanging from the meat pole Saturday night.
BTW, I use an Excalibur Vixen crossbow with a 4x scope (a cheap Tasco) sighted to twenty yards. Shot a doe a few weeks ago from seventeen yards--double lung, she went about 50 yards and crashed in the brush. Cripes, she only weighed 115# on the hoof but dragging her up a slight incline out of the brush made her feel like about 300#! Dang! I needed a few beers after that job was done.
