Yep. I refrained from the funnies in the original post, because I was wondering if there were any certified instructors. It was more of an FYI for a thread. I was just wondering if people found it rewarding. We always have threads about promoting our sport I was wondering if anyone contributed to training new hunter in the Hunter Ed. course.
However, I can think of a few that may start with the funnies and I am happily looking forward to the banter. You guys (and gals) always make me laugh.

A hunter Ed instructor. . .
That's what I was thinking about doing for awhile. I called 1-800-wildlife, left my info and no one called me back. that was 2 weeks ago.

KillerSquirrel,
I have been a Hunter ED. Instructer for the past 9 years here in southern OH. As for Rewarding, YES, It make you feel good when a kid from your past class comes up to you and tells you about his or her first squirrel, deer or turkey. Or Mom, Dad or grandparents comes up to you and tell you about hunting with their child and the child getting their first game aminal or bird. Or you work at the State Fair at the BB gun or Bow range and show people how to shoot a bb gun or bow for the first time,If you work one day you will find more than kids that haven't shot a gun or bow, The Smile that they get when they hit the target is as they say, priceless.
Jedi Woodsman,
Call the 8oo number and ask for Jeff Winning, he can get you on the path to become a Hunter ED. Instructer, There a class in march, for new cadets, around the Dayton area,

Cool. I have thought about checking into it, too. But, I will probably wait a while longer. Seeing as how I am a new hunter, I would like to have a couple of more years under my belt before I teach others. But I think it would be a lot of fun and a great way to promote hunting and outdoors sports.

Killer Squirrel,
No better time than the present, attend the 2 day class and you will pick up a lot of info, Get a buddy to go with you and team teach or hook up with another instructer in your area and work with him or her till you feel at ease to do it your self. ;)
