What do you all do to clean your mounts?
After hanging on the wall they tend to collect dust. Any recommendations on cleaning?

I have heard Swiffer dusting cloth recommended by a few taxidermists. Has worked well for me, even on turkey and ducks.

I've been told by taxidermists to clean with pledge furniture polish. The oils in pledge keep it from drying out too bad.

All I do is take a damp (not soaked) paper towel and wipe off the coat of the deer. I use windex on the eyes. Good as new!!!

All that should be needed to keep a deer mount clean is an occasional wiping with a slightly damp cloth to remove dust. Pledge contains oil, which will actually attract dust. If the mount is done properly, it should never need anything to keep it from drying out. As long as it's not hung over a fireplace or other heat source, it will be fine. The commercial cleaners are fine for a really dirty mount. Otherwise, save your money and just keep them clean.

Thanks I'm just going to use the wife's swiffer brush (when she's not looking).
