Gun Season at wayne national forest

Hey all I am only going to be able to hunt opening monday of gun season. I want to go hunt wayne national forest. I have never been there before. I want to be able to get away from the people. Can anyone point me into a good area for that. I have an atv if that helps.

it gets ridiculously packed. There are hunters from all over the states. I would advoid it if I was you. I thought the same thing a few years back. We drove all the way down there a few days before season and there was already an orange invasion

I live in the heart of the southern district of the wayne. It gets hit pretty hard but theres enough land that if you want to do some walkin you can get away from the hunters. Just use the pressure to your advantage> Ive also found the best days after opening morning to be later on in the week around thur or fri. The bucks seem to get tired of layin low and some of the pressure has died down
