If we all follow this, it should make the buck poll a good one.

Great article. One thing I have noticed in my years as a pro shooter (camera) is that people think sunny days make a good photo day. While this may be true for action sports, a windless, high cloud day will provide much better light for portraits, nature closeups and other nature pix like waterfalls. If you are stuck with less than great light, particularly high noon sun try to put it behind you and use your cameras flash, or just compansate by usng over exposure of +1- +1.5. Or if the camera has spot metering use that.
To see some of my work go to Fitpix's Pbase Portfolio (http://www.pbase.com/fitpix)
If anyone has photographic Q's I would be more than glad to help. Oh yeah, if you want to carry my bags on a swimsuit shoot then get in line!

Thanks for the input. I may just be taking advantage of your offer. My girlfriend really enjoys taking photos. Come late summer I take her with me when I scout/glass fields. We get some neat pictures.
This past summer I put her at the edge of a row of corn while I went down in the woods to check my game cam. As I was coming out of the woods I spooked a doe that was standing right by her. She was really excited. The doe had come out of the corn only 15 yards away from her. She didn't have time to snap a photo.
Great photos on your link by the way.

If you let someone take your picture with your digital camera, take the time to review the pictures.
It sucks when you get home to find zero pictures had actually been taken...

Thx countryroad! If she is into nature photography let me suggest a man named John Shaw and his book. He is my fave nature shooter and all I know about shooting (except studio stuff) I learned from his books.
John Shaw's site (http://www.johnshawphoto.com)
I know you can find his books at Cord Camera and a lot of other places. I would be glad to help out in any way!
