They are getting the OKUMA EPIXOR baitfeeders in stock...going to cover ALL the sizes.
Also..they are now a Falcon Rod dealer..as Galyans is no longer a dealer for Flacon...only two places around columbus carry Falcon rods..Fishermans and Buckeye Outdoors!
Also they are looking into getting the "Smart Cast" units that are going to be a bank anglers dream come true! Going to be the #1 seller this year for sure!
And for you St. Croix fans they will have thier 2003 line up on thier shelfs with in TWO weeks ready to be bought!(better get there before me..lol;) )
Im also working with Matt M. to get them to stock some of the hottest new baits this year that no one else locally has!;)
There is a lot of other goodies in the works, but i cant let the "cat" out of the bag just yet!
So stay tuned!
Tell them FlatheadManiac sent ya....

i ordered about $90 worth of line for this season(bulk spools of G-power of course).
But the best thing was talking to Matt about the direction that Fishermans is going...trust me they are going to stock things we would mostly have to order from places like BP and Cabelas...oh yea they are also NOW using Bass Pros dealer..so ANYTHING that BP has..they now can get too...for the same prices!!!!!!!!
For some reason they keep getting these awsome ideas from someone ;)
Matt also went to my catfish site for the first time and saw the "Fishermans Warehouse" page i have...he liked it a lot!!;) :D

I just came from Fisherman's Warehouse. Everything in the store is 10% off. I was asking about those close out coffee mugs and I brought your name up and they said "Who" I just smiled and walked on. I bought some Quamtum hot sauce for my reels and a mug. Also some cleaner/degreaser for cleaning out the reels. I was even wearing my GoFishohio.com hat and they were looking at it. They will remember me, I go in and supplies every so often.;)

I bet you mentioned it to Mike? Round guy with glasses?

Well if you would have said Scott Hollar they would have known..unless it was Mike as i dont deal with him at all..long story.
Mark and Ben have not been to my web sites and only know me by my REAL name (as neither one has a computer).
As far as the GFO thing..i NEVER mentioned that to them as i dont talk about what i dont back up or believe in!
Ive sent guys like Doc from Dayton and other anglers as far away as W.Va. and Indiana..they all mentioned me and the person they delt with knew me very well...thats the hard thing between REAL life and internet life..too many names to remember for one person..unless you know me both on and off the net !
Another funny thing was Matt mentioned "flathead maniac" to me today.. i just lol and said yea thats my internet name..then he told me about visiting my site for the first time a few days ago.

I see your point, but I think it was Matt. He was working back in archery today. On believing in something you still to be a part of it.But thats water over the dam.
What do you use for cleaning your reels , I know you have using something natural?

are ones that use things like citrus(orange) that CUT GREASE.. and not the ones that use a lot of harsh chemicals (ie brake cleaner, carb cleaner, paint thinner, GAS..ect.) oh you can use that stuff if you want..just be sure not to get it on painted or plastic parts.

I use simple green to remove old oils and greese and I use Brasso to polish my gears and bearings.

Scott,
I hope you're going to convince those guys to carry some Case stuff. I like going in there and know Benny thru some buddies, but I never find anything unique in there for me (stream smallie stuff). I'd like to BUY more there, but usually can find better deals on rods/reels elsewhere. I'd like to support the little guy more and the big boys less, but I usually go for the better deal. I'd be willing to pay a couple bucks more hear and there for baits and lures.......espescially if they get some different hard to find stuff. I'd be interested in seeing some more local tackle makers represented.
I'll be looking forward to checking out their selection.

Exactly..that was my point to them...the lures they have i can find anywhere else..and at times cheaper....Case was one of the names i brought up along with my others including some of more popular tube brands that are hard for us to find.
Im going to work closely with Matt to get a list of baits that will be both better for thier customers...as i told him that most wont come in and ask for certain baits as they know you cant find them around here..if they stocked them they would broaden thier customers to more than musky, catfish and panfish hunters!
If you looked at the most favorite species on the forum poll you'd see smallmouth bass leading the way.
I found some really awsome NEW baits doing some net searchin..and i know that no other store carrys them..if the public could see them..i know they'd be a big hit..if they dont know about them..how can they use them??
